"Brandiswaalweg" - Paths along the water irrigation channels

The water path walk will take you from "Lana di sopra" over the "Lanegg"-abbey and the nice "St. Margarethen church to Lana di sotto, where you can see its wonderful church with the famous "Schnatterpeckaltar" and continue to the Brandis-gulch and its impressive waterfall. One a week we organize a ride to Töll with our "Hiking-taxi", from where you can walk along the whole waalweg until you reach the hotel.

Skulpturenwanderweg Lana

The South Tyrol's Sculpture Ramble is a Land art's project by Lana Art. It starts from Lana but some other municipalities will take part in it. The route, which gives the opportunity to live new experiences, is a footpath that has to be followed on foot for the walker to become aware of the human natural speed, as opposed to our frenzy and fluttering everyday life.

Hiking-area Monte San Vigilio

Everyone, trained hikers as well as beginners, is fascinated by Monte San Viglio: our local mount, with its smooth hills and the wide and overwhelming panorama.
Monte San Vigilio, just 15 minutes by foot from the Hotel is really a trip worth and offers you a lot of activities:
Mountainbiking, mountain-hiking, Nordic Walking etc. Famous for its beautiful Larch-forests and water-fonts, it is the ideal starting poig for your hikings! For example you can choose to take a walk to the romantic St. Vigilius church and the biotope or maybe to Seespitz and higher located alps such as the "Naturnser Alm" or maybe try a challenging peak-tour to the "Vedetta Alta" on 2607 m.
And during the winter-months: lots of fun for adults and children on the Monte San Viglio Ski-area! Authentical, nostalgic, far from noise and overcrowded ski-regions.

Hiking-area Merano 2000

The Ski-and hiking area of Merano 2000, eastern of Merano, offers wonderful hiking-paths for everyone.
You can reach the mountain-station at 2010m by car or cable-car. From here you can start comfortable alpine pasture hikings from the "Meraner Hütte" to the "Waidmannalm", alongside Merano's high route and the European "Fernwanderweg". Or try challenging tours to the peak of the mounts "Mittager and Ifinger" or maybe try something really exciting such as the new Alpin-Bob, the first South Tyrolean Toboggan roller coaster open all year round.

Alpine hiking to the "Fiechtalm" and "Lago Pesce"

Comfortable round-trips to Val d'Ultimo and Fontana bianca-lake, where you will be pleased by the beauty of this untouched area. Walking through conifer-forests, to the lake Lago pesce and the beautiful situated Fiechtalm for an extraordinary snack.

Merano's high route:

Merano's high rout is one of the most beautiful hiking-routs of the whole alpine-region.
A unique walk through the Texel Group Nature Park - more than just a one day adventure! This a quite even remaining path is some kind of connection between the High-mountain climate of the Texel-group and the Mediterranean climate of the Isarco valley. It will seem to you as you're standing on a terrace having a look at the surrounding valley. You will recognize the Dolomites, the Brenta-group and the Ortler-massiv.

Peak-tour to the Guardia Alta di Naturno (2608 m)
Take the cable-car or the chair-lift and have a ride to Monte San Vigilio. The tour starts here! Passing over broad paths and narrow foot-bridges, crossing alpine-pastures and walking through beautiful spruce-woods you reach the Hochjoch and the Guardia Alta di Naturno. A very beautiful and worthwhile peak-tour for expert hikers. The ideal hiking-period goes from July to September.

 Peak-tour Laugenspitze (2434 m)
Starting from Lana you have to drive in direction "Deutschnonsberg" until you reach Passo delle Palade (parking). Once arrived, you can continue by foot. First along the timber road and then on marked paths until Laugenalm (1 hour). You can also choose to take immediately the cliffy hunter's path, walking through the forest and reaching the lake Laugen. After a little rest the walk goes on until the peak Laugen (2,5 h. und 900 hm). Once you reached the top you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama over the whole Meraner Land.

CLIMBING SCHOOL MERANO:

The climbing school of Merano offers a great number of hikings, mountain-tours, but also tandem-flights and canyoning as well as beautiful guided ski- and snow-shoe hikings during winter season. .

Nordic Walking & Walking

There's nothing more healthy then outdoor exercise. An impressive panorama, peace and a great number of exciting and challenging round-trips around Lana are waiting for you. The right dose of exercise bring you in a good mood and is namely the best recipe you can prescibe yourself. Nordic Walking is a smooth bull-body-training, easy to learn and suitable for everyone in every season. The technic of aware walking (thightness of every single muscle) is a real cure-all and particularly suitable to reduce stress and back pains.
