MERANO

An outstanding variety and countless events characterise the renowned spa town of Merano, ranging from culture to film, theatre, music and exhibitions and this throughout the entire year. But also the surroundings, picturesque villages such as Lagundo and Tirolo, have a lot to offer. Numerous sport and free time opportunities are waiting for you in summer and winter alike. Enjoy yourselves and visit the historic horse racecourse of Merano, the Meranarena inside and outdoor pools or the ski area of Merano 2000 and the Val Senales Glaciers.

Thanks to it's famous promenade, creative arranged flowerbeds and palms, Merano is also well-known as the flower-city.
But Merano offers you also a real culinary-adventure during Christkindlmarkt-time! Hot spiced wine, gingerbread, South Tyrolean delicacies.. You will find this and much more. The Meraner Christmas fair is situated just next to the promenade.
 

BOLZANO

The city of Bolzano is a real cultural meeting-point between Italy and central Europe. Here you will find may cultural highlights, shopping facilities as well as extraordinary culinary specialities. So… what are you waiting for? There are also 2 beautiful promenades: the
"Guntschna-" and the "Oswaldpromenade", with their southern flair and wonderful panoramas. In fact, taking a look from the promenade, you will see the city of Bolzano and its surroundings and you will feel a sensation of wideness and sublimity.
 

BRESSANONE

Probably there's no other town in South Tyrol that kept its impressive flair like this wonderful old bishop-town along the Isarco-river. Old images from the past awaken to new life in Bressanone...while commercial development and ancient traditions a unique entity form. Bressanone is therefore really worth a journey. Culturally, but also from the aesthetic point of view: enjoy its nice roads and lanes along the shops and restaurants.

MERANOS ADVENT

Advent, with its perfume of hot, mulled wine and special sweets and biscuits is, without doubt, the most important and intensely emotional seasons of the year.
The Meran Christmas Market, with its eighty gaily decorated stalls, offers an excellent range of gifts and presents, Christmas decorations, traditional ceramic ware and woven items, wood carvings, woollen slippers, toys and typical cakes, biscuits and sweets.

Spring comes early in South Tyrol! ..and it's probably the most beautiful time of the year! Famous for the apple-cultivation, the Merano Land is characterised by mild climate, lot of sun-hours and clear alpine-air... during the blossom-days a real highlight, with a wide culinary program (gourmet-days with Tyrolean products) music-entertainment, hiking- and biking tours. Furthermore 2 big events: "Bäuerliche Genussmeile on April 14th" and the "blossom day-festival".

A hiking-paradise as you know it from picture book: blue sky, snow-covered mountain-tops, bloomy trees and flowers. On our program: easy as well as more challenging hiking three times a week: suitable for everyone - no matter your condition - the important thing is having fun...and It's all about participation! :)
The tours are guided by the mountain expert "Robert Erb", witch is also director of Merano's mountain-climber-school. Transfer to the hiking starting point by car.And after a pleasurable week spent at the mountains enjoy our rich "Bauernmarende" (farmer's snack) at the traditional "Buschenschank", where you will also get your reward: your hiking - certificate.
 

LANA LIVE 13.05.2012 - 31.05.2012

During this period Lana becomes the centre of music and culture. This well-know festival is not just about swing, blues, dixie, latin and music for brass instruments, in fact it includes also literature and rock-music. You will listen to some of the most important international bands, such as Max Greger, Hugo Strasser, Bill Bailey etc.
 
 

WILD HERBS 19.04.2012 - 06.05.2012

During this days, you will know the properties and value of this local herbs and plants. Wild herbs are the main ingredient for a healthy cuisine: an unforgettable culinary experience.
Lana will once again be the venue for the Wild Herbs Days. The chefs in participating restaurants in Foiana, Postal, Cermes, Prissiano and Lana create delicious dishes with wild herbs and vegetables.
 

MOUNTAINBIKECAMP LANA 02.06.2012 - 16.06.2012

Biking through the sunny "Merano Land" - a wonderful experience. The Adige Valley, without any exaggeration, is a real biker-paradise. From the valley up to the alpine ground lead you our bike-team in the surroundings from Lana, Last Valley, „Gampen“ pass and on the car-free Vigiljoch. It guides you „Robert Erb“ or „Birgit Schuster Erb“ – both trained mountain experts..

MERANO'S MUSIC-WEEKS August until September 2012

This year's festival focuses on symphonic and chamber music. And, as on other years the festival also offers concerts beyond the scope of a traditional classic festival. These we call „cross-over“-concerts.

The Lana garden centre Galanthus is cared for by the brothers of the German Order and has always been a place of lively encounter and inspiration. Every year galanthus holds the so called Südtiroler Gartenlust, a festival to raise our awareness of the beauty of nature. During the Südtiroler Gartenlust 2012, an area of 15,000 m² will be filled with exhibitors from all over the world presenting on every aspect of gardening.
