Altought we're far from traffic, the pedestrian area (city centre) of Lana is just few minutes away from our Hotel, from where you can start many exciting hikes: for example you could discover the south Tyrolean sculpture path, walking along the Falschauer Dam until you reach the Industrial Zone.. or maybe take a walk at the "Brandiser Waalweg". Worth to try: Nordic Walking.
Vigiljoch - our local mountain, a picture book all year round
An earthly paradise, summer and winter. Small lakes and ponds, alpine pastures and peaceful mountain huts let yourself feel comfortable and at ease. During winter, when the valley is aglow with million lights, not only tobogganing and skiing enthusiasts favour the Vigiljoch mountain, but also those who simply seek to admire the beautiful white dress of the snowcovered landscape.
Water Channel Pathways
The water channel pathway "Brandis", is a comfortable and even hiking trail, connecting Lana di sopra with Lana di sotto. This path will take you trough chestnut-trees and fruit orchards, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view on the town of Lana. Further, it will take trough Costalunga abbey and S. Margherita church to the waterfall above the golfplace.
Golfplace
Besides the masterly designed and accessible golf-course, other special features of Golf Club Lana, situated below the ruins of the “Brandis” castle, include a stunning panoramic view on the vast Adige’s valley on one hand and the close proximity to orchards on the other, granting a direct immersion in the genuine character of this land and its inhabitants. Equally attractive is the exceptionally long season, here, where a Mediterranean climate reigns within the Alps’ bosom.
Bycicle routs
Lana and its surroundigs offer lots of differnt bycicle routs: idyllic lawn paths, challenging mountainbike- tours, wonderful ways taking you over the passes and even lanes for your cycle tour. Along the Valsura-dam, on the well-known wine-rout trough the fruit orchards.. or taking the new bycicle route from Lana (starting from Postal towards Bolzano - til lake Garda) cycling along the old Claudia Augusta street.. a wonderful experience for professionals as well as beginners.
The South Tyrolean Sculpture Path
The South Tyrol's Sculpture Ramble is a Land art's project by Lana Art. It starts from Lana but some other municipalities will take part in it. The route, which gives the opportunity to live new experiences, is a footpath that has to be followed on foot for the walker to become aware of the human natural speed, as opposed to our frenzy and fluttering everyday life.
Fruit Farming - Museum
It is said, that one apple out of a hundred comes from Lana.. The South Tyrolean fruit farming museum with its 16 rooms and around 60 display boards, explain you the history of old and modern orcharding.
Here, you'll find objects, documents, models etc.
Lana town - Pedestrian area
Lana, this picturesque town, on the way to Merano, offers you many different experiences. Taking a walk trough Lana, you might discover hidden gardens, wonderful estates, churches and monasteries.. while the pedestrian zone invites you to do some shopping: shops, Italian boutiques and nice cafes are waiting for you.
